Connect the network drive

At the client, the shared directory of the server must be connected as a network drive.

Network Drive Letter

The network drive letter must be connected as during installation!

Start moveIT ISS+

The program can now be started normally via the ISS.exe.

If the Windows component .NET is not available on the new client (according to system requirements), it will be installed first before the program can be started.

Anti-Virus and Firewall Exceptions

If an antivirus program is active (local computer, terminal server, database server and network clients), the antivirus exceptions must be set correctly!

Windows User Account Control

If you chose network drive instead of UNC path:

If UAC (User Account Control) is activated on the client and setup functions are carried out via the network drive, it can result in connected network drives not being selectable or visible during the moveIT ISS+ installation processes, even though they are correctly connected and present.

You can work around this issue by doing the following:

Copy the file UAC_Admin_Netzlaufwerk.reg (can be found under ClientToolsReg) to the local computer and add it to the registry with a double click. This activates in Windows that network drives are also available when you start a program with "Run as administrator".

To activate this function, you must RESTART your computer!

Otherwise, the client setup (installation, Windows components, etc.) cannot be carried out.

If all Windows components are already available on the client, no client setup will be carried out.
